Like every song I write, I started with an acoustic guitar, and wrote the majority of the song in one sitting. The words and melody came easy, as it was like writing a love letter to my partner, it's an honest representation of what we have been through and still go through. I think that we are constantly sold an image of what love should be or should look like. I wanted to show that in my video well, the images of hearts and balloons...it's all quite silly actually. The concept of love is universal and can be complicated and serious and intense, and on the other end of the spectrum it can be frivolous and immature and young and playful, mindless and stupid.
